Heartwood Primary's Prayer and Reflection Space
At Heartwood Primary, as a Church of England school, we are dedicated to creating a welcoming environment where every member of our community can explore their spiritual development. Our school environment is neutral and purposely calm so that children and adults can pray and reflect. We have a few additional prayer spaces, both inside and outside, which offer quiet area for reflection, personal prayer, or simply some peaceful time to pause and gather their thoughts.
The school and spaces are designed to encourage calm and contemplation, with resources available that align with our school values. There are a variety of Bible stories and other texts that reflect themes of kindness, compassion, and respect, which are central to our ethos. Additionally, we have a prayer tree where individuals can write and place their personal prayers to God, contributing to the shared sense of spiritual reflection within our community.
We believe that our school and our dedicated spaces support the Church of England’s vision for schools, promoting opportunities for spiritual growth, well-being, and inclusivity for all.
