Welcome to the Board of Governors.

The Governors are a team who learn to love and love to learn.  

Our role is to work as an intergrated part of our school’s community.  We are proud to be part of Heartwood, proud of the children, families and staff who all make this school a special place. 

We have three core strategic functions which are:

• Ensuring that everyone associated with the school understands the school’s vision and ethos for your children
• Working with the Head Teacher to ensure that your children realise their potential and that all staff are supported and trained to achieve this.
• Ensure that the funding we receive is well spent.

At the heart of our governance are the children.  Our collective aim is to support staff to enable children to understand, experience and develop; friendship, compassion, respect, service, responsibility and courage so that they too can learn to love – love to learn.
